Shop for ideas prior to beginning the building process.  Tour your local Showcase of Homes, browse through Home Building magazines and attend trade shows if possible.  This will allow you to see what is new in the marketplace, as well as give you ideas on color, style and finished products.

Consider how bright you would like each room.  Your options are only limited by your imagination.  Recessed  or down lighting can give you the brightness in the working areas of your home, whereas ceiling fixtures will provide soft lighting for the entire room. 

Consider the value you receive with lighted ceiling fans.  They can be both attractive showpieces as well as useful fixtures throughout your home. 

Don't forget the mood lighting!  Consider the trey ceiling in the bedroom or the planter shelf in the great room; either can be a great place to put accent lighting.  Take advantage of the opportunity to have your home reflect your personality and creativity.

Outside lighting will contribute to both the beauty and the safety of your new home.  Your options in the this area are unlimited.  Motion lights can provide increased security and spot lights can target light where you want it. Coach lights will accent the beauty of your home, while still providing walkway  visibility for you and your guests.

Low voltage lighting can provide the finishing touches to the overall beauty of your new home.  Whether lighting the way though the backyard garden or down the walking path to your front door, this lighting gets noticed!
